Karol G kicks off the summer with her new song

Metropolitana collaborated with the production company We Own The City and the director Pedro Artola to develop the color grading of the music video for Karol G’s latest single, titled ”Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido”.

The music video was released last Thursday, June 20th, and for it the artist changed her characteristic pink hair to a new blonde look and immersed herself in the merengue genre for this new song.

According to Billboard:

“Si antes te hubiera conocido”, released in the middle of the European Karol G’s ”Mañana Será Bonito” tour, further demonstrates the artist’s ability to experiment outside the realm of reggaeton. Prior to this merengue, she has dabbled in bachata (“El barco”), corrido tumbado (“200 Copas”), cumbia (“Mi ex tenía razón”) and even released a salsa version of “Amargura” at the Billboard Women in Music 2024 gala, where she was Woman of the Year.
