APCP brings advertising cinema to the Málaga Film Festival
March 11, 2025
On March 19th, the Málaga Film Festival will be the setting for the Advertising Film Production Activities, an event organized by the Association of Spanish Advertising Production and Post-Production companies (APCP). This event, now in its seventh edition, has established itself as a benchmark in the field of advertising cinema, and will be held in the Andalusian city, which during this week becomes the nerve center of national and international cinema.
The APCP, in collaboration with the Málaga Film Festival, has created a unique space to explore the latest trends, innovations and challenges in advertising cinema. Professionals from the sector will meet to exchange knowledge and discover the new proposals and tools that are shaping the future of the industry.
One of the key moments of the day will be the presentation by Ramon Arteman, director of Metropolitana, who, after the opening of the event, will give a talk on how artificial intelligence (AI) has profoundly transformed post-production processes in the film industry. Throughout his talk, Arteman will explore how new technologies have optimized complex tasks, from automated editing to improving video quality and creating visual effects.
In particular, Metropolitana, recognized for its expertise in CGI and 3D, has stood out in the industry for the quality and precision of its work, taking the creation of visual effects to a higher level. Their mastery in the integration of artificial intelligence for the improvement of rendering and 3D animation has allowed them to offer results of the highest quality, adjusted to the most demanding needs of the advertising film and audiovisual industry in general. Examples of their work include the creation of the iconic Victoria 285 ad for Axa, the digital resurrection of Chiquito de la Calzada in the emotional Christmas spot for Campofrío and the spectacular animation of Lola Flores for the Cruzcampo ad. These works demonstrate Metropolitana’s ability to merge technology with creativity, giving life to unforgettable characters and scenes that have marked a milestone in advertising.
This event is an excellent opportunity for advertising film professionals and the audiovisual sector in general to keep abreast of the technological advances that are revolutionizing production and post-production, as well as being a space for networking and learning.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the recent incorporation of the post-production company Metropolitana as a new member of the APCP. This incorporation reinforces the presence of innovative companies within the association and underlines APCP’s commitment to the technological and creative vanguard in advertising film.
